I'm trying to allow my chat to be accessible over SSL (https) from outside with haproxy - Made subdomain, made other changes similar to my internet radio (which is also unecrypted originally) and forwarded it from port 443 to internal host port 8356, but it works only partly. Page loads but stays Connecting... Also suspected it may have port 8356 hardcoded and tried to do it over port 8356 from outside, but the same.
If I'm opening direct connection to host over the VPN it connects successfully. If I'm forwarding unencrypted http connection from router directly to host, it loads too. If I'm using haproxy forwarding without SSL it works too. But I would like to have it SSL enabled and without VPN. I suspect it have something more hardcoded related to switching protocols (saw something similar mentioned in packets while listening unencrypted successful connection).
