Why is this repo using vanilla javascript and class components like its 2017???

You upgraded to the latest react-native but you fail to understand what a hook is or what typescript is.
This library is unusable with how out dated and trash the code is...

Typescript should be your documentation, a developer integrating your library should be able to see what options are available on BlinkIdMultiSideRecognizer without having to dig through your code and look for it.
