Open Sourcing EC firmware

Are there any plans to open source the EC firmware? I understand there are instructions for flashing in this repo and EC_fml13v01_20241227_v1.0.17.bin is the latest version available, but I was looking for a more up to date version.

As a side note, I'm currently having an issue where USB 3 devices are only detected on cold boot. When I reboot, uboot fails to find any usb storage devices giving errors saying that the usb ports failed to reset. I'm bringing this up because I'm using a up to date u-boot and opensbi that seem to be more stable otherwise and I'm left with wondering if the EC firmware is causing this issue.

We currently have no plans to open-source the EC. The latest EC version is EC_fml13v01_20241227_v1.0.17.bin.
The issue you mentioned may be related to the EC. The error Port reset failed indicates that U-Boot attempted to reset the USB port but did not receive a response.
