Description
Suggestion:
A kind of Fluid Tank that creates an "open topped" multiblock, instead of the "closed topped" multiblock of the vanilla Fluid Tank. This would collect water when rained on, or from Dripstone dripping into it. Optionally, it could also collect lava from dripstone.
It would be distinguished from a battery of cauldrons with pipes under them pumping into a Create fluid tank by the following points:
- Can be more than one block deep, and hold water volumes similar to Create tanks of the same volume, making it more space efficient.
- Makes capturing the water a one stage process, while eliminating the other uses of Cauldrons, like bucketing out of them instead of using Create methods. (Like a fluid hatch 😸 )
- Would be copper, which looks better IMO
- I suppose it could be put on a contraption and be guarenteed to still work. Sounds like a lag nightmare to me though.
Uses:
- Creating a rain barrel/water tank that (IMO) fits in aesthetically better with Create builds than a pile of cauldrons.
- Raised, open-topped water tanks were a traditional roof-top feature for a while in some areas for household water, although we know better and add water treatment now. They're still used for gardening and farming in some regions.
- Some mods remove infinite water sources, and right now a desert/arid survival world seems to be trendy. This would fit in with that and further enable that sort of gameplay.
- Notably Terrafirmacraft (TFC) people like integrating Create with TFC as their advanced tech mod, and I think this might fit in with the design goals on TFC.
