bang screen not launching

I feel like I've gone over the tutorial a million times at this point. I do everything down to the letter, following the wiki and the youtube tutorial Dammit Jeff did. Amended all the files, run the command in the terminal, eject, unplug, go to launch an ad, and then nothing. Just runs as a regular kindle. It tells me to go back bc it can't load the ad since it's in airplane mode, and the only option is to exit the page to go to the kindle homepage. Theres no bang screen or anything but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm having the same issue, the bang is not happening. Followed all the directions.

I also had this issue, and managed to find a way around it.

With the device plugged in, go to the .assets/ directory and pick a random folder (which contains the contents for a single ad) open the details.html file in that directory with your text editor of choice and paste the contents of adbreak.html. Have a look at the image in that folder to see which advert that folder is for. Unplug device. Find that advert, and then the bang screen pops up.

Had the same issue fixed it with your help, but for me it only worked by replacing the hole file, not just copy what's in it and then rename it to 'details.html'. I did run the command 'find . -name 'details.html' -exec cp adbreak.html {} ;' but it seems to not be working for me on Ubuntu 24.04
