"There was a problem loading this page" after clicking on an ad (Adbreak 5.18.1 10th gen paperwhite)

Every time I click on an ad, it shows an error message. Even after a fresh factory reset, without replacing the .assets folder, with airplane mode on, any ad will still show that error message.

I've done everything from factory resetting ~5 times to manually changing the contents of every HTML file in .assets as well as copying in the scripts.

Has anybody found a solution to this issue?
