I don't understand colordef RGB values

Hello,

I'm trying to change the colors in ncmpc by just define new values for let's say blue.
Terminal is alacritty and ncmpc 0.52.
I have enable-colors = yes and i see a difference with enable color yes/no. So i guess my terminal support it.

"#076678" in RGB "7 102 120" 

colordef blue = 7, 102, 120

The blue don't look like it should.

In the documentation it says:

colordef COLOR = R, G, B - Redefine any of the base colors. The RGB values must be integer values between 0 and 1000. Note: Only some terminals allow redefinitions of colors!

RGB are typical 0-255 why here it says 0-1000 ?
