Empty Drawer Menu

I downloaded this project and, when I run Android Studio, the drawer menu is empty. No companies, customers and suppliers appear. I checked it in Odoo 10 CE and Odoo 11 CE, and different APIs in the Android studio (from 22 to 29) with the same result. Only the profile and settings appear and I don't know why. Is anyone else going through this?

I solved this by not upgrading gradle version as suggested by Android Studio One
