how to set the cameratype to front camera.BarcodeUi settings doesnot allow us to set the camera to front camera.Is there any possibility to scan with front camera.

Can you please help up on this requirement.We need to scan the PDF417 cards from front camera only.but there is no documentation available to set this.when we try to set the camera type through BarcodeUISettings class,its saying final variables can not assign new values.
and is this library works for front camera does not have auto focus feature?

Hi @techvedikasolutions,

you can use method BarcodeUISettings.setCameraType(CameraType.CAMERA_FRONTFACE) to select front facing camera. This library does not require camera with autofocus to scan barcodes, except in one case: when you enable scanning of PDF417 barcode and allow null quiet zone.

Hi @techvedikasolutions,

it may happen that for some high density pdf417 barcodes, our SDK will not be able to scan the data, if the quality of the input image is not good (low resolution, blurred image due to lack of autofocus). It depends on the camera quality on your device, so it will be better to use back facing camera, if this is OK for your use case.
