Crossed Folders Cannot Be Removed from Folder Tree

This is an extremely distracting issue, the sub-folders that no longer available in the original folder continue to appear in the folder tree crossed. But tagging them as remove, then refresh, then exclude, exclude tree does not work. They cannot be removed. Do I have to delete the entire database and re-add the main folder with over 200,000 images so the folder tree would be updated with the correct folders structure?
