Third party plugin does not work anymore after instance switching

I am using ToolSwitcherPlugin from the plugin loader (https://github.com/austinvaness/ToolSwitcherPlugin), but whenever I change an instance with seamless it stops working.
The plugin functions in the way that you can scroll through your tools in a toolbar with your mouse wheel, so you only need one tool in the toolbar.
What could be the issue?
