SEB 3.6 crashes repeatedly and randomly with SEB Server Screen Proctoring

Describe the bug

SEB crashes repeatedly on macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 with Apple M3 processor. Multiple session ended with crashes/improper shutdowns, resulting in "Re-Opening Locked Exam" warnings on subsequent launches.

Pattern observed:

• Average time between crashes: 20-30 minutes
• Crashes occur without user intervention

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Launch SEB 3.6 on macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 (Apple M3)
2. Start exam session (connected to SEB Server)
3. SEB terminates unexpectedly without proper quit sequence
4. Restart SEB
5. See "Re-Opening Locked Exam" lockdown alert

Is a crash log displayed after SEB was terminated? If so, I need the full text of it. You can also check with the Console system app, click on "Crash Reports" in the left column of its window and search for Safe Exam Browser.

I assume you are using screen proctoring when this happens? As I didn't get reports about similar crashes with macOS 26 until now, I assume that it has something to do with your specific use case.

Very important question: Does this happen on several machines with macOS 26.0.1? How many? All with macOS 26?

I'll try to gather the crash reports, I'm waiting on the user who add the problem.

Yes we do use screen proctoring, the interval for this one was 5sec to 30sec.

No it wasn't only on macOS 26, the student I took as an example is the one who add the most crashes: 3 times in less than 1 hour. The unexpected crash behavior from the list below was identical for all of them.
