I did the exact same thing just now. I initially thought I was seeing the same behavior. I then realized I had only closed 5 of the IDE windows, and left a sixth open. I closed all copies of the IDE completely, reopened them, and the option was there. I've corrected the missing 10MHz extclock option |

Hello folks, I was wondering how to add the 10 MHz external clock option for the DD series so I added the lines below to my board.txt in ...AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\DxCore\hardware\megaavr\1.5.11 just below the 12 MHz option. After that, I restart the Arduino IDE 2.3.6, reselect the chip but no 10 MHz ext option is visible, just the 8,12,16 etc MHz for ext clocks.
Is there any other place where I need to make changes? Or maybe this approach is wrong altogether?
