code cannot be compiled

i'm able to compile when i'm setting to work with one of the simulators, but not when i'm setting it to load the app to the device (and i'm seeing the same 6 errors in this image)

I know this is an ancient issue, but I just came across it.

I haven't payed any attention to this repo because it was just created for a Swift presentation I made back when Swift was still in beta. The Swift language has had lots of breaking changes since then.
