Greek chars not translated in plots

Probably affects all special chars. Plots show e.g. \l for lambda.
Linux centos 7. Haven't tested other distros.
Try uvplt axis=uc,vc for example.

confirmed on Ubuntu 20.04, and this still with the "old" embedded pgplot. I am going to switch over to optionally use the native pgplot, since it has the /png mode.
