Ask user before deleting incomplete snapshots

It would be a good idea to ask the user before deleting the new_snapshot folder.

After a failed backup attempt, I clicked the start backup button thinking it would resume, but instead it started deleting the incomplete backup (that took many hours to create).

I was able to sigkill everything in time and manually rename the directory to something back in time would expect, and then it was able to make a new snapshot on top which filled in the blanks and "resumed".

@tatokis There is a new forming maintaining team and we do review all issues. Is this problem still relevant for you or did you find a solution?

@buhtzz I haven't had another interrupted backup, so while I can't explicitly say "I found a solution", I haven't had to deal with it since.
That said, if no one implemented this, then I'm sure it's still an issue for anyone who might end up with an interrupted backup due to say, a system crash.

Thanks for your report! We need investigate under what circumstances backintime deletes new_snapshot. I think it's not an automatic default, because in the FAQ and in past discussion, it was mentioned that interrupted snapshots may indeed be resumed in certain situations.

My backup with BIT has just failed (broken pipe due to an instable SSH connection) and I can confirm that it did resume the backup.
The new_snapshot folder has not been deleted and it started where it has stopped (at least if I can tell by the logs).
But it would be nice, if BIT was a bit more transparent about this behaviour.

Edit: As I just discovered, there is an option for exactly this in the options tab.
So I think this issue can be closed then.

The problem itself might be solved.
But I keep this Issue open because the behavior should be investigated and documented (e.g. in doc-dev) somehow for our self.
