Not working with Cura 5.0

It's not working with latest cura version 5

It is true. This plugin does not work in Cura 5. We need it please to be updated, otherwise the Creality screen is almost unusable since the most used in it is the thumbnail view.

@met911 @rubenhuertas @starkie-projetos You can try my fork at https://github.com/nayaabkhan/CrealityThumbnailPlugin. Just place it in the plugins (which already exists, even if empty) folder inside your configurations folder. Refer image below on how to open it.

The folder tree should be so:
plugins/CrealityThumbnail/CrealityThumbnail/__init__.py
plugins/CrealityThumbnail/CrealityThumbnail/CrealityOutputDevice.py
etc.

Note: Made it work by finding the correct source (CrealityOutputDevice.py) of this plugin from the latest version of Creality Slicer.

Its not giving the error anymore but also once its sliced, it does not actually show a thumbnail on the creality 3d pad itself which is the whole point of this plugin.

Perhaps the firmware you're on doesn't support the JPG format which is supported by default on my Ender-3 V2 Neo (see photos attached).

If you're comfortable coding, you could replace the functions with image64 as initially in the repo along with the add_screenshot function and may be that's what works for your machine?

I am using the 3D pad and not original display of the printer. these are different. the purpose of this plugin is to work with 3d pad

With the latest PAD firm, a new file is available for importing into CURA 5 to view the thumbnails on the screen.
