Relate, if possible, to Dijkstra's paper, "go to considered harmful" #31

TB: "I recall (perhaps incorrectly) that you mentioned in your defense believing in the importance of relating the dynamic execution of a program to its static source. I just wanted to check whether you're aware of similar convictions (admittedly for different reasons) dating back at least to Dijkstra's paper, "go to considered harmful," from the 1960's."

"Dijkstra was focused on the problem of inscrutable code written with goto statements, but he talks about the issue of connecting the static source code to its dynamic execution. I've also encountered this issue in writing dynamic-analysis tools, and this issue seems like a fundamental one in programming."
