Distribution/Usage in a GPLv2 project

Hello,

What is the intended way to use this project from another? I'm inclined to simply copy the script into a directory in my project, but from what I've read, the Apache 2.0 license is incompatible with the GPLv2, I assume this would also apply to scripts included in the source distribution and not included in the final executable package.
