local site does not show changes made to source files (site.css, masthead.html, etc)

Now able to run the site locally with zola serve.

Although... I made changes to masthead.html and/or to site.css). The changes (say, <nav class="flex flex-wrap ... are seen in the DOM yet they are not rendered. Am I missing something in my tailwind config or some other whatnot?

Steps to reproduce:

1. cd lfe.github.io; zola serve
2. open http://127.0.0.1:1111 in browser and see landing page
3. edit templates/home/masthead.html, adding a tailwind class to, say, the nav element : nav class="-mb-0.5 flex flex-wrap ...
4. save changes and reload the web page
5. observe that changes made to masthead.html are included : nav class="-mb-0.5 flex flex-wrap ... but not rendered. IOW,

Hence me thinking I'm going about this the wrong way. If I am, let me know what your workflow is.
