Crashing when reading text using kokoro Heart en 82M When Engine speed control is unchecked and speed is at x2

The gui was crashing a few moments into reading the block of text so i ran it from the commandline and got this output:

Crashes still occur with fresh install and Gpu acceleration uninstalled. (flatpak install net.mkiol.SpeechNote.Addon.nvidia)

Informed guessing leads me to believe.

Engine speed control might be related. I checked the box and it stopped crashing. However it renders speech incomprehensible at 2x speed.
