I am seeing similar issues with 26.0.1 and an erase-install workflow I use that used mist for the download. It downloads the installer but says it isn't compatible with the hardware, which it is.

The same issues on my mac. Also if I try to create the macos 26 installer manually this error occurs. Could be a bug by apple.
