What is the process for programming CANnectivity on a USB2CANFD v1?

I'm familiar with Zephyr, but I don't understand the architecture of the USB2CANFD:

This works:

west build -b usb2canfdv1 cannectivity/app/

But flash does not:

So trying to figure out the flashing architecture ...

You need to install the J-Link Software and Documentation pack as described in https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/develop/flash_debug/host-tools.html#runner-jlink

Then, you need to hook-up your J-Link to the USB2CANFDV1 pads as shown on the image in https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/boards/weact/usb2canfdv1/doc/index.html and re-run the west flash command.

Yes, those are the pads.

• SWDIO -> DIO
• SWCLK -> CLK
• GND -> GND

However, the USB2CANFDV1 board configuration in Zephyr is not set up for programming via the STLINK (I don't have one), so you'll have to modify the board configuration and add an OpenOCD configuration file in order to enable this.

Doing a little more research, it appears only the DIO and CLK lines are needed for SWD, so I'll give the STLINK a try ...

The USB2CANFDV1 model I have has a piece of plastic attached to the bottom of the board, which makes it difficult to solder a header into the holes. Does the JLink have some clever way to attach a probe to these holes?

Not that I'm aware. You can bend a pin header and just hold it in place while programming.
