Bug Report: “visor.data/visobj.dat not found” error when launching GEMS3 on Windows

Environment

OS: Windows 11
GEMS Version: v3.10.1 (downloaded from the official PSI site)
Installation path: C:\Users<username>\Desktop\GEMS3.10.1\

Steps to reproduce

Download and extract the ZIP package directly to the Desktop (to keep the path simple).
Run rungems3.bat.
Immediately after startup, a fatal error appears: Cannot open file: visor.data/visobj.dat

I have tried to re-download and re-extract the package multiple times. I am not sure what the issue is.

Open rungems3.bat in a text editor and
Replace -c with -d

gem-selektor.exe -c > gems3.log

With

gem-selektor.exe -d > gems3.log

Or try to execute gem-selektor.exe found in Gems3-app directly.
