Beachball when attempting to auto-open mtz (1.1.18)

Hi Paul,

Using the coot 1 version distributed with CCP4 on Sequoia (15.7.1), every time I try to auto-open map coefficients, the interface becomes non-responsive and I get the spinning beachball of death.

Loading the tutorial model and data works fine. This is what the terminal looks like:

Funnily enough, if I then force kill the application and re-launch it, it will then instantly open the file selector dialog, but the icons are all corrupted:

EDIT:

I get the same beachball when clicking About...shortcuts. Similarly, this only happens the first time - if I kill it and reopen, it then works without issue.
