Sometime I want to be able to say "25-30 min" instead of an exact time and the site doesn't currently allow for that

Currently, this is by design so that (1) we can display all the times in a consistent format, and (2) we might be able to do interesting things with time in the future, though I'm not sure that (2) is a good enough reason to not let you put in a range right now.

We could potentially accomplish this by splitting the time out into a range, time_min and time_max. Then for a recipe with a specific amount of time, time_min == time_max, but for "25-30 min" then time_min=1500 and time_max=1800 e.g.

Along the same vein, lots of sites have the concept of "prep time", "active time" and "total time". Those also seem like indicators as to how long something is going to take.

I'm fine with adding a range, but I'm also not sure how necessary it is. Most of the time (heh), the timing is just an approximation, not an exact measurement. If a recipe takes "30" minutes I understand it to take roughly that long.

@katieashafa Why do you prefer a range over an exact time? Would "30 min" mean roughly the same thing for you?

I've had it come up a few times when its a new recipe. So the website says 25-30 minutes. Because I've never made that before I want to include the range so I know that perhaps at 25 min it won't be done.
