make it possible to rename modules / (show module ID) to uniquely identify modules

When a patch has more than one of the same module - it does not seem possible to tell them apart.
I'd like to have a naming function - and/or toggle to display the module IDs as an option on the "Select" Screen.

Thanks for highlighting this, it had occurred to me as well. The text display on the select module buttons is pretty limited. I would also need to find a solution that works for the TouchOSC and Electra One presets (and E-1 can only show 12 characters on a button).

I do like the idea of being able to optionally override the reported module names on the select grid. That would need to be set up and stored per VCVRack patch (which is technically entirely do-able ..Orestes-One/Pylades already do that for other state e.g. rack-level parameter mappings) - it would be a map of module Ids to overridden module names.
