DTDA/TFTA/QCA should expand protein families and complexes #16
Description
Consider the following questions:
- Is there a drug that targets PI3K?
- What genes does AP-1 regulate?
- How does RAS activate MEK?
Currently Bioagents tasks would fail because they wouldn't be able to look up family-level entities in their respective resources. These are all cases in which the Bioagents could expand the families being referred to and query for specific proteins to produce an answer.
