Unable to sign in using @xxx.uk.com email domain

Describe the problem

Hi,

If I enter my email address it says to enter a valid Power BI account, but it is. Guessing its not validating the domain correctly

4. button greyed out and states to enter valid Power BI account

@chriswhitingBCH Thanks for reporting this. It could be an issue with the app not being able to connect to the internet. If you're on a company network, you might need to configure a proxy for Bravo to access the internet properly.

To quickly check if Bravo can connect:

• Enable Verbose logging in the Options > Diagnostics panel to view any error messages.
• Go to Options > About and wait for the update check process to complete.

If the update check fails, you should see an error message in the Diagnostics panel – similar to the example screenshot below. If the issue turns out to be internet connectivity, you’ll likely need to configure the Proxy settings in the Options > Proxy panel according to your network setup.

still just getting HTTP/500 remove server is unreachable.

Tried changing proxy to none, but no difference. Just on a home connection.

Thanks for the update! Just to clarify, could you let us know where exactly you're seeing the "HTTP/500 remote server is unreachable" message? Is it showing up as error message in the diagnostics panel, or do you see it in the UI after the update check completes?
If possible, a screenshot would be helpful.

Also, could you try restarting the application? In some cases, changes to the proxy settings might require a restart to take effect.

If i restart Bravo after setting the proxy to none, it changes it back to system

@chriswhitingBCH Thank you for the information! I ran some tests, and this issue seems similar to a known bug we’re still investigating, as reported in issue #565. It probably happens because of an error during Bravo’s startup, which blocks internet access. The bug is still open because we haven’t been able to reproduce it internally yet.

To help us better understand the problem, could you please try this:

• Start Bravo and reproduce the error.
• Open Event Viewer (search for it in the Start menu).
• Go to Windows Logs > Application.
• Check if there are any warnings or errors around the time the issue occurred (you can see an example image below)

If you find anything related to Bravo or .NET, please share the details here or, if you prefer, you can also email it to alberto.spelta@sqlbi.com. This would help us see if something goes wrong at startup. Thanks again!
