Add min and max limits for values coming from meter

WHAT: On my tasmota / bitshake, I have a lot of trash readings, causing multiple issues downstream. Unfortunately I have not been able to put clear decimal limits on the tasmota side so I started digging around and coming to the following method:

def get_clamped_value(self, value): if value < self.lower_bound: return self.lower_bound elif value > self.upper_bound: return self.upper_bound else: return value

Boundaries could be placed globally in configuration cross readers or per reader.

I use the bitShake Air reading head and had many reading errors. Bitshake implemented a CRC check in the last update. With that, the errors disappeared. You have to do the update and change something in the script. It’s best to contact support for that. They respond quickly.

What was your version ? I have Tasmota 13.4.1.2 (tasmota32) von Theo Arends.

What was the update process like for you ? Did you have to save / restore conf or was it transparent ?

My version is 14.6.0 also from Theo Arends. However, I cannot use the official version of Tasmota for the AIr reading head, only the one offered through 'bitshake SMR.' A prior backup was not necessary. But as I said, just write to support. They are great. Grüße Holger
