How to connect after installation?

Good morning,

I would like to install the b2500-meter on a raspberry, simulating a ct001 and just use a shell script to tell the b2500-meter the necessary values (I have all the live values from my phases from a self build solution, so no problem).

I have 2 questions:

1. Which type of config file do I need? The general one?

2. How to do the connection between the b2500-meter and my Marstek B2500? In the app a ct001 can be added via bluetooth or qrcode. The only thing I have is the IP of my Marstek B2500.

The B2500 automatically searches for any available CT001 in the network when you switch to „Self-Adaptation Mode“. However, I recommend updating your storage firmware to v224 and then use the Shelly emulation because some flaws in the design of the ct001 communication protocol.

As mentioned above, you need to update your storage to v224. And for the shelly emulation you need to set DEVICE_TYPE to shellypro3em.

Hi!

(I have the b2500 with FW v108-7 and it works perfectly with hm2mqtt in HA.)

But I cannot get any connection between the b2500 and b2500-meter. I tried:

• Simulation of ct001 and shellypro3em
• As docker installation and manual installation on a laptop
• The script runs without errors and prints listening on UDP and TCP
• Switching on b2500 adaptive mode -> CT Status changed to Diagnosing CT001 equipment -> Changes to Diagnosing timeout after 5 minutes
• Shouldn't I see any MDNS oder SSDP packets from the b2500 in Wireshark? Or from the b2500-meter? I don't see any.

Any ideas?

No, the device doesn’t use mDNS to discover the Sheöly. Instead it just sends the UDP request as a broadcast.

Thank you for the quick response.

I checked all requirements in the FAQ (FW 108.7, Subnetmask 255.255.255.0 = Fritzbox default, Bluetooth deactivated, docker network host mode).

So I should see UDP broadcasts in Wireshark when activating adaptive mode in b2500. I don't get any from the b2500 ipv4. It is probably never using ipv6?

I never connected the b2500 to the cloud and disabled internet access for the b2500. Could that be a problem?

I checked with ncat and wireshark. Broadcast UDP is working (192.168.178.255). The packages also arrive in b2500-meter. But the b2500 just doesn't send anything...

Update: After installing new Firmware v110 it works. (Still have to re-enable MQTT.)
