waveterm is a very good tool, and I'm currently using it because I like it, so here's why. |

I've been on
wavefor a year but must go back toiterm2(I would use warp terminal again except for this).Waveis open source which is awesome. Thank you to the community that has built this, it was a breath of fresh air compared towarp's sort-of take-it-or-leave-it attitude towards users.Wave's aesthetics are great and it meets most of my needs but ultimately I grew impatient with the below traits (listed in order of importance to me). I'm listing them here only to bring attention to them to ultimately help make it better. These are only based on my experience so it's possible that I simply didn't understand how to correctly use the tool and have misstated these:warp(being able to navigate previous command output by using Shift+up/down arrows). Might be related to [Bug]: No blocks and no wsh installed #1629Completed issues within the last year:
I see a lot of effort to improve the AI experience which is understandable. But cannot speak to the AI features as I rely on other tools like opencode or my IDE for most of that.
Thanks for reading. I think
waveis a solid tool with a bright future and I will be following its progress.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
