On FreeBSD, WindowMaker does not find GNUStep apps

FreeBSD 14.3

Installed WIndowMaker and the GNUStep apps meta port. WindowMaker does not register the presence of the GNUStep apps. They run fine from the terminal. Can't figure out how to get them to show up in the Applications subdirectory.

Can you remove (after making backup) your ~/GNUstep directory, and run wmaker again? There is a chance, menu with the GNUstep apps will appear.

Other option is to either add apps by hand to the menu, or use scripted way to do so, or look how it is done on Window Maker Live and/or in NEXTSPACE

Please, bear in mind, Window Maker is not affiliated with or specific to GNUstep project. Window Maker is general purpose window manager which resembles (in some extent) look and feel of NEXTstep, and that's all. Consult GNUstep documentation for further details.
