Switching of all LEDs/Turning them back on.

I would love to be able to send a command to turn off all LEDs and another command to turn them back on again. When my Mac goes to sleep, the keyboard LEDs are still active, and my partner hates the light of them at night in the office. I would love to automate this somehow. Sadly, the protocol does not implement something like that yet, or am I mistaken?

Oh that's a good point, this is definitely something we want to expose in the implementation.

In the meantime, does setting the "Disable RGB when suspended" advanced setting to turn off the keyboard leds when the host goes to sleep ?

You can also turn off the leds after n minutes of inactivity with the "Disable RGB after inactivity" setting on the same page.

Sadly, that setting is ON and does not work with my setup. I am not sure why. Maybe it's the fault of my thunderbolt dock or something.

@bitboxer Hey! It looks like there is the option to specify them to turn off:

Options:

  -s, --sustain <SUSTAIN>  [default: 0]
  -h, --help               Print help

Running kontroll set-status-led --off --led 0 worked on my voyager.
