Version 1.1.1 of Veyon includes a Test Environment. This environment allows users to seamlessly test the educational monitoring features, leveraging Docker containers to set up both lecturer and student instances. The lecturer’s container comes preconfigured with Veyon in master mode and a VNC server for easy access, while student containers are equipped with Veyon clients and RDP support for remote desktop connections. The setup is designed to be flexible, enabling the creation of multiple student containers as needed, all interconnected through a dedicated virtual network.

Version 1.1.0 of Veyon includes modifications regarding students' privacy concerns. First of all, configuration scripts enable access control policies to inform students when a remote user (instructor) is connected to their computer. It also shows a dialog where students are explicitly informed about the Veyon features (Remote View, Remote Control and Video Recording) related to their privacy and instructions on how to stop desktop sharing. Finally, it asks the students for explicit consent when an instructor wants to control their computer or record their activity.

This version of the Veyon project provides video recording of all the student sessions attending the remote lab. It could also store a sequence of screenshots instead of a video. A new "record" button has been added to the toolbar.
