The FlexStack UI is a web-based application that provides a user-friendly interface for visualizing V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications. It allows users to monitor real-time updates, coming from Coopeative Awareness Messages (CAMs) and VRU Awareness Messages (VAMs).
This application works on Linux-based operating systems.
It requires Python 3.8 or higher.
Must be run with root privileges to access the network interfaces in promiscuous mode.
Before running calling sudo su is recommended.
All dependecies can be found in the requirements.txt file. To install them, run the following command:
pip install -r requirements.txt
A Python virtual environment is recommended to avoid conflicts with other Python packages installed in the system.
The application can be started by running the following command:
python src/flexstack_ui.py
By default, the application will start a web server on http://localhost:5000. You can access the web interface by opening a web browser and navigating to this URL. And it will start sending CAM messages through the lo interface.
The behaviour of the application can be customized changing the following environment variables:

Network interface for V2X communication (default: lo). |
HTTP_SERVER_PORT |
Port number for the HTTP server (default: 5000). |
HTTP_SERVER_ACCEPTED_ADDRESSES |
Accepted addresses for the HTTP server (default: 0.0.0.0). |
