We no longer have a viable native platform for running Linux tests for Python 3.6, as Ubuntu 20.04 has been removed.

Per live discussion, we have opted to accept this and drop mainline support for python 3.6 (which we have been maintaining for the sake of Humble on RHEL 8). The next releases will drop support for 3.6 and end automatic releases into RHEL 8. RHEL 8 releases can still be made ad-hoc after validating 3.6 or by branching from the last supported release depending on the maintainer's preference.
