Given the large dataset I used and the fact that animations take a long time to render, I set each block of code in the rmd file to eval=FALSE. Instead I saved then displayed the output of each block of code using gif/png files in the resource folder. The final html file is identical to the one produced by the data and rendered gifs. I am happy to change this if I need to. (Chris Petty cp3209)
