Although Github is using technologies we're not (like Ruby) and their style of coding differs in many areas (ex. we "embrace" curly brackets), it's still a nice read.

The 56-page handbook is worth a read. Not only is it full of fantastic illustrations and step-by-step guides on things like how there is no corporate hierarchy, but it's also got details on how their product development is done.

In 2009 when Steve Jobs went on medical leave, Tim Cook laid out Apple’s manifesto for what it does, why it does it, and how it will be done. This was to prove that the company is great no matter who is at the helm.
