LabCompass currently distributes as a standalone package. Follow these steps to install it on your PC:

Go to the latest release page
Download LabCompass-[version]-standalone.zip under "Assets" section
Extract the downloaded package
Run executable LabCompass.exe

After a few moments you will be greeted by this window:

Congratulations! Before we move on, you can drag the text "LabCompass" to move the overlay to a comfortable place on your screen.

The next thing we're going to do is to import a map.
